Palo Verde "bird watching hotspots"

Palo Verde is one of the most biodiverse places in the country; there are approximately 15 habitats created by topography, geographic conditions, including drainage, river overflow and the effect of the tides.

Palo verde is perfect if you want to experience costarican culture and wildlife all in one!

During the two-hour boat safari, you will see different types of birds, crocodiles, white faced monkeys and iguanas!

After the first activity we will drive you through the country side to see how the old farmers used the traditional trapiches (sugar cane mills) to produce cane juice and make jiggery (tapa de dulce).

After lunch you will get some free time to walk and see the museum or the farm animals before heading back to your villa or hotel.

Location: Palo Verde National Park - Guanacaste Province, Bagaces, Costa Rica

Itinerary

Pick up at your hotel, villa or private residence in Peninsula Papagayo area at 7:00 am.

Approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to reach the tour facilities.

First activity: boat tour at 8:30am.

Second activity: cultural demonstrations at 11:30 am

Third activity: Lunch costarican typical food at 12:00 md

After lunch a free time to walk and see the museum or the farm animals or if you prefer enjoy a coffee!

A charge of 20% will be applied to cancellations made 2 days or more before the day of the activity.

There will be no refund for cancellations made from 0 to 1 days before the day of the activity.

Refunds do not apply if you do not show up at the agreed meeting point for tours or transportation.
