Sloth´s Territory
At just one hour from Liberia, Bijagua is our first stop and is well known for its diverse wildlife as well as for the two different sloth species you can find here: two- toed sloth and three-toed sloth.
Arriving at the sanctuary you’ll walk along the hiking trails for about 1 mile (1.5 km) in the Sloth Territory. Your guide is an expert at spotting sloths, keep your eyes open and discover several species of birds and frogs.
After the hike, while your traditional lunch is being prepared by loving costarrican hands, you can enjoy the colors of many varieties of “mariposas” in the Butterfly Garden.

What you should bring: Light casual clothes, comfortable or hiking shoes, insect repellent, cap or hat, binoculars, camera, sunscreen lotion, rain gear.
Tour Cancellation Policy
A charge of 20% will be applied to cancellations made 2 days or more before the day of the activity.
There will be no refund for cancellations made from 0 to 1 days before the day of the activity.
Refunds do not apply if you do not show up at the agreed meeting point for tours or transportation.
All modifications are subject to availability and authorization of the service provider.
